Draft Requisition

Users with permission to create new requisitions can save requisitions in a Draft status without completing all required fields. This allows users to initiate the requisition creation process and return later to complete the requisition.

Draft requisitions:

  1. Warning: Draft requisitions that are not saved as active requisitions are automatically deleted after 60 days. A change request is required if the client wishes to edit this setting.

To save a draft requisition

  1. Go to Primary Navigation Bar > Requisitions > Create Requisition.

  2. In the Create Requisition window, click the Save as Draft button anytime during the creation process.

  3. At a minimum, the Position Title field must be completed before the requisition can be saved as a draft document. If you select another approval list other than the default and save the requisition as a draft, the new approval list and its assigned approvers are also saved.

  4. The Create Requisition window closes.

Retrieve and Complete a Draft Requisition

Once you have saved a requisition in a Draft status, you can retrieve that requisition at a later date to complete it.

To retrieve and complete a saved draft requisition

  1. Go to Primary Navigation Bar > Requisitions > Create Requisition.

  2. Select the draft requisition from the Load Draft drop-down list. Draft documents are listed by Position Title.

  1. An information symbol designates dates that are in the past and may now be invalid.

  2. A warning symbol designates lists, such as categories, locations, skills, benefits, etc. that contain invalid selections. The invalid option in the list is highlighted. Update the field by selecting a valid option.

  3. Inactive Contacts and Approvers are designated by a warning symbol beside both the contact group and the contact name. Additionally, the inactive user’s name is highlighted. Update the field by selecting an active contact or approver. If you selected another approval list other than the default, the assigned approvers from that list will appear.

  1. Complete the requisition field data.

  2. Click Save as Draft if you wish to return to complete the requisition at a later date.

  3. Click the Create button to save the requisition.
